Avatar: Fire and Ash has surpassed 3 million moviegoers just 10 days after its release, while Zootopia 2 has crossed the 7 million mark, continuing its box office phenomenon.
According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated box office system on December 26, Avatar: Fire and Ash drew 640,313 viewers on Christmas Day alone, securing the No. 1 spot at the box office.
As of 7 a.m. on December 26, the film’s cumulative audience stood at 3,138,433. Previously, it reached 1 million admissions in four days and 2 million in seven days, maintaining a steep upward trajectory.
Avatar: Fire and Ash follows the Sully family as they face a far greater crisis on Pandora after the death of their eldest son, Neteyam. As Jake and Neytiri mourn, the Ash Clan, led by Varang, emerges, plunging the fire- and ash-covered world of Pandora into an even more intense conflict.
Ranked No. 2 is Zootopia 2, which attracted 431,339 viewers on Christmas Day, bringing its total admissions to 7,030,089.
The film sees the return of fan-favorite partners Judy and Nick as they pursue a mysterious snake named Gary who throws the city into chaos, launching a thrilling investigative adventure that takes them into a new and dangerous world.
At No. 3 is Even If This Love Disappears from the World Tonight, which drew 115,268 viewers in a single day, bringing its cumulative total to 182,071.
The Korean remake tells a youth melodrama about Han Seo-yoon, who loses her memory every day, and Kim Jae-won, who fills in her memories daily as the two protect each other and learn to remember love.
At No. 4 is Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Super Splendid! The Blazing Kasukabe Dancers, which attracted 113,599 viewers, bringing its cumulative audience to 163,297.
The animated film follows Shin-chan and the Kasukabe Defense Force as they dance their way through friendship and adventure to save Bo, who has turned dark after losing his runny nose due to a mysterious power.
No. 5 is Pororo the Movie: Sweet Castle Adventure, which drew 28,014 viewers on the day, bringing its total to 176,292.
The film marks Pororo’s 10th theatrical release, delivering a sweet story filled with laughter and happiness as Pororo and his friends embark on a magical adventure.
